The oven is oak and olive wood, lit before the first prep cook arrives. Whole fish, sausages, cabbages, bread for the table, if it can take smoke, it goes in.

Our table
Nonna Fico opened with eight tables and a promise: nobody leaves hungry, nobody leaves quiet. We still make the pasta by hand every morning, still light the oven at four, still argue about the ragu.
The menu is short because the market decides it. Come for two on a Tuesday or twelve on a Saturday, we'll push the tables together and pour something red.
The Fico family
The pass, 6pm, every night since '94
Tonnarelli, pecorino, plenty of black pepper
16Over white beans, salsa verde
22Guanciale, tomato, a two-day sauce
18Anchovy butter, breadcrumbs, lemon
11Half bird, dripping potatoes, garlic
36Made this afternoon, meant to be fought over
