Read the colour, climb the grade

We use the V scale for bouldering. Every route is one colour top to bottom, so you always know which holds are yours. Start at V0 and work up.

V0StarterBig friendly holds, feet everywhere, nothing steep.
V1EasyStill gentle. You start thinking about where your feet go.
V2BuildingHolds get smaller and body tension creeps in.
V3MiddleReal problems to read before you commit to the wall.
V4SteepWorse feet, longer reaches, and honest overhang.
V5CommittingYou will come off a few times before it goes.
V6PowerfulStrong fingers, precise feet, no wasted movement.
V7ProjectWeeks of work for one clean send from the ground.
CComp setOur monthly build. Tall, wild, and made to be watched.

When the season turns

We take it outside

Once you can hold your own on the wall, come to a guided crag day. We bring the pads, sort the transport, and read the rock with you.

Trips run April through October

Your first visit

The first session is free and we walk you through it. Here is how a first climb goes, start to finish.

Step 0101

Turn up and sign in

Wear something you can move in. We fit you with shoes at the desk and take you through the safety basics.

Step 0202

Learn to fall

Ten minutes on the mats learning how to come off the wall safely. This is the part that makes the rest fun.

Step 0303

Get on the wall

Start on the easy colours and follow one route at a time. A coach is on the floor if you want a pointer.
