We design for all four seasons, not the afternoon of the photograph.

Spring

Bulbs and early structure carry the garden before the borders wake. We plant for the first warm week, not just July.

Summer

Layered perennials and grasses at full height, chosen to hold their colour through drought and drift in the wind.

Jun – Aug
III

Autumn

Seedheads, late asters, and the turn of the acers. We leave the garden standing so it earns its keep in October.

Sep – Nov
IV

Winter

Frost on the grasses, evergreen bones, and bark that reads across a grey day. The garden still has a shape in January.
