Halden makes loungewear and everyday essentials in short batches. We mill loopback cotton in northern Portugal, cut it boxy so it hangs clean, and dye each run on its own so the color settles the way it should.
No seasonal churn, no logos across the chest. A crew, a longsleeve, a pant, and a tee, each one made to be worn until it wears out and then reordered.
Fabric & care
The short version of what goes into a Halden piece and what it asks of you in return. Wash cool, dry flat, wear it often.
Loopback and jersey milled in Guimaraes, Portugal from long staple cotton, knit heavy so it holds shape.
Garment dyed in small lots. Slight variation between batches is expected and is the point.
Boxy body with a dropped shoulder. Ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem knit on the same machine as the body.
Flatlock seams inside so nothing rubs, twin needle finish at the hem for a clean edge.
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Skip the fabric softener, it coats the loops and flattens the pile.
Dry flat or hang. Low heat only if you must. Heavy cotton keeps its shape best off the tumble dryer.
Cut for a relaxed fit. If you land between two sizes and like it close, size down. For a roomier drape, stay true.
